Does the value of money change with situations?? or Do we pay too much attention to percentages ??
If you were at a shop buying a table which was priced at Rs 10000/- and someone at that point tells you that….the same table is available at a shop located 20 mins away for Rs 9000/-.
Would you be willing to walk 20 mins to save Rs 1000/?
Most of the people would say yes…as they are saving 10%
Now here is the 2nd scenario…
If you were buying a car for Rs 10 Lakhs and someone at that point tells you that the same car is avaliable at a shop located 20 mins away for Rs 9,99000/-
Would you be willing to walk 20 mins to save Rs 1000/?
Most of the people would say No as they are just saving 0.1%….unless they really don’t like the sales guy and were looking for an option to get away…
Why would the value of Rs 1000 change with situation’s….The Rs 1000 that you save on the Table and the Rs 1000 that you save on the car would buy you the same things….
It’s the same with bargaining…many people bargain with the street vendors for 20 rupees but never bargain when buying a TV or Fridge…or a Car…you will be surprised with the amout of money you can save…Thank you.
